In this post, I am going to tell you about the very important process called 'Metabolism'. Having knowledge of metabolism can help us to change our physical structure. This means if we know the metabolism,  then we have the ability to make yourself healthy on our own with the food. As this is the life-supporting process, it continues whole life. I am just going to tell you in short, not in detail. As it will be short I hope you will understand it easily. The main purpose of this is to make you aware of it so that you become healthy. We will go through the highlights below.

The word Metabolism refers to all the chemical reactions in a living organism. It is important to stay vital or alive and for the functioning of the body. In other words, we can also say that Metabolism is an engine of our body(vehicle) that burns calories and release energy. Because of this we or our body become able to do different tasks. Here our body is a vehicle, food is petrol and metabolism is the engine.

Main purposes of Metabolism are: (a) To convert food into energy. (b) Making compounds for proteins, fats, nucleic acids, and carbohydrates. (c) Excretion of nitrogenous waste.

#Types of metabolism

There are two types of metabolism:

1)Anabolism: In Anabolism small molecules combine together to make a macromolecule.

2)Catabolism: In Catabolism big molecule broken down into smaller molecules.

Anabolism consumes energy whereas Catabolism releases energy that our body uses to perform other functions.

#Reason and effect of slow metabolism

When we consume more calories than we burn, this leads to the slow metabolism. If the calories not burn they stored as fat.  This leads to slow metabolism. If you are a obsess person then by burning more calories than you eat can make your metabolic process fast in result you will become shred.

#Reason and effect of fast metabolism

When we eat less and our body burns more calories this leads to the fast metabolism. When this happens our body weight got to decrease. Thin people have the fast metabolism. They also very active. You know that kids seem always very active. They are some so active because don't stay at one they every time playing or running during this they keep burning calories. They burn the calories they consume and stay very active.

#How to Boost slow metabolism and maintain it:

It's very simple once you understand the metabolism. To boost slow metabolism you need to cut your calory intake. To cut calory intake first check your BMR(Basal Metabolic Rate). Then after you need to cut 500-700 calories from your daily intake. You should also consult you to your nutritionist. Doing cardio is one of the best way to boost metabolism. In very simple words when we eat less and burn more, results in to fast metabolism. Here cardio is the best and fast way to burn calories and boost metabolism.

All you just need to do is to eat less and burn more by physical exercises.

Here are some other ways also to boost metabolism:

1)Consume more protein

To digest and absorb protein our body requires more energy.

2)Have good breakfast

3)Take good  sleep.

4)Eat right food at a proper time.

It is just burning more than we eat. To maintain it just eat as much as you can burn.


Metabolism is the engine of our body that burns calories. Catabolism refers to breaking down of a big molecule to release energy. Anabolism is just its opposite, it consumes energy. Eating more than burning lead to slow metabolism. And eating less than burning lead to a fast metabolism. By understanding this you can improve your health. With only healthy meal and exercise. And you need no medicine.
